As BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing client used to distribute large amounts of data between multiple users make sure you have good, up-to-date virus protection and check any downloads. Version 6.1 of BitTorrent is displayed as µTorrent in both Vista MSConfig & Windows Defender
